Job Demand

Arizona's Most recent Job Demand survey, in 2003, reported the following for cosmetologists:

• Over 24,500 employed (That's the population of our city of Kingman!)
• 4,144 Salons & Spas (the number of students grade 8 - 12 in all Kingman schools!)
• Over half of salon owners still have current openings.
• Full-time annual earnings: $36,000. That projects to $45,000 in 2015!

As the figures above show, the demand for qualified cosmetologists far outweighs the number available to fill job openings.
